CF card formatting with sfs A500+ in winuae...

So I have been trying to get my CF card to format with SFS got the file put it in L told hdtoolbox where it is found the file system. Changed the file system for the partition to sfs and changed the identifier to the correct one for sfs this all works. changed the max transfer to 0x1fe00. save the changes reboot the system and when im running the system as a A500+ i get this error Program failed (error #80000003) wait for disk activity to finish.

if i boot as a A1200 the partitioned drive displays as an unformatted drive as it should...

I am using Smartfilesystem 1.279

any help is greatly appreciated!

So i have just read on one thread that sfs only supports 020 processors? however i have seen it used with a 500 machine.. can anyone confirm or deny?

Also i have a wicher accelerator card with the MC68HC000FN20 processor is there a patch to stop the operating system from checking the processor? is this something to do with installer43-3?

SFS requires a 020 or higher CPU. It runs on an A500 only with an accelerator card.

For a 68k machine PFS is the better choice. It does not only run on any 68k CPU, it is also faster than SFS.

As Thomas says use PFS3 aio, a much better choice now that it been updated over the last year to iron out the bugs by Toni Willen, I never use anything else , but if using on a 68000 machine you will need some extra ram as stock machines will not really run with it

So managed to partition my drive on winuae with pfs3 got to trying to format and my operating system in win use would not load the formatting software.... no idea why... so move my hard drive to my Amiga and booted with workbench adf and formatted it there and then back to my pc transferred my os onto the hard drive and is working in my Amiga so all good! Then I installed my wicker card software onto the hard drive which crashed it last time due to ffs.... which also worked... but now I have it installed how do I bring up the menu for my Wowcher card.... does anyone know? Lol I’ve tried booting with lmb and with rmb and I get menu’s but not the Wicher one..... The documentation is rubbish with the card and on their website....
