Hi All!

Just a minor update here

Some modified USB adapters I bought arrived today so I finally setup my USB card reader as I want it.

I had this little USB Hub in my PeeCee box but apears to only be USB 1.1 so will need to swap it out but it'll let me setup things and test everything out.

And the Card Reader installed at the front bay:

So lets get some bits connected!

Yay! \o/ It works

As I say its only USB 1.1 Hub so will need to swap it out with something to get the full speeds... (currently 1mb/sec)

For example with my ICY Box I'm pulling 5.7mb/Sec

Hope you enjoyed my little Saturday update

Steve.

Even more the case with Rev11 firmware which fixes the ZorRAM problems by eliminating part of the Buster chip.

The workaround I'm using at the moment is running the Deneb in PIO mode which obviouslky isn't as fast but at least I get to use the Z3 Fastlane

The dream is still to run a SCSI HDD and hopefully with me new drives and adapters/terminators I can get that working

Just a teeny weeny update today

I got a couple of little USB2.0 Hubs from EvilBay, just to give me a couple more USB A sockets from the internal Deneb:

Works a treat with my front USB port, now getting 5.5mb/sec from my USB flash stick

But strange, even with the new Hub the card reader is 1mb/sec

Hmm, oh well - Its still progress....

Some Pr0nZ for ya'll

Lets get rid of that stinky XC060 CPU

Nice empty socket

Hmm, what we got here Its a latest mask MC060

In she goes!

Job done, much cooler running now.

Next Job speak to zeee experts about getting overclocking going, CPU is going to need more Volts I think as she wont take faster x-tals as is

Oh and a better view inside with the Floppy Cage removed:

Hi Steve,

Methinks it's about time you changed your user title again. How does "Take it to the limit" sound?
