EAB/Lemon Super League 2016: Round 1 Game Vote

EAB/Lemon Super League 2016: Round 1 Game Vote
Starts: 00:01 January 3 Finishes: 23:59 January 16

It's that time again. The ninth season of the Super League is almost ready to begin. Will somebody finally end ED-209's reign of terror?

NEW - All games played in the 2009 Super League (with the exception of those played in Open Rounds since) can be voted for again in every round.

Rules

Full rules are here.

Vote for five games.

Your first choice gets 5 points, second 4 pts, third 3 pts, fourth 2 pts, fifth 1 pt.

Remember to choose games suitable for competition play. Edited votes will be discounted (unless told otherwise) so think before you post. Please only vote on one board - either EAB or Lemon.

If a game comes in ECS and AGA versions, please state your preference in your vote. In the event the versions differ gameplay-wise, the version with most votes will be played. ECS is the default if you don't specify.

jPV won Round 14 last year so he gets double voting power for this round.

Tactical or nosey voters can see the Lemon voting thread here.

You can't have Globdule I'm afraid as it was played in 2010.

2-Z-Out
3-R-Type
4-Denaris
5-Shadow Fighter

I'd like to vote for Battle Squadron, but I think it's not a suitable game for score competition, since you can keep on surface scoring infinitely, right?

You can indeed do that but we did play it way back in 2008 with an agreement that you couldn't do that. No way to prove of course but if there's a way to play it then that's preferable to disallowing it, I think.

How would we score Brutal Sports Football? I'm not overly familiar with it. Looking at HOL there's a league table, but is there a way of tracking e.g. goals for/against like in SWOS?

If we can have this agreement, then I'll vote for it next round

for Brutal Sports Football, you'd have to take a screenshot after every game. The game has a league similar to Speedball II, there's no "select teams for the league".. you pick one team, starts at division 4 and then must go up to division 1. But I don't remember the league table showing how many goals you have scored/conceded.

I thought about we playing the first 3 games of the league, take a screenshot at the end of each game (the game gives plenty of time showing the final score), and add the score of all three games. The one with the best difference of Goals made and goals conceded wins. We can also add heads decapitated too in the account, if we think it's allright

Step 1 to this mighty accomplishment will be to compete in every round.

With 16 votes posted already I suspect the majority who are going to vote have already done so... but we've still got until next Saturday if anyone else decides they want to have a say on things

Voting is now over, and we certainly had a strong turnout for this round. It was very close and here's how it turned out.

1. Slam Tilt - 30
2. Super Cars 2 - 28
3. Prince Of Persia - 20
4. Super Stardust - 19
5. Zeewolf 2 - 18

Total votes: 21 - Total games voted for: 46

A spot of pinball to open the new season then.
