Be fascinating to see who picks what teams.

Ajax are handy in the 94 version, and there are so many Italian giants to pick from it's crazy.

(18*10000) + (5*100) + 13 = 180,513

What a catastrophic final match. Stoichkov and Romario from Barca destroyed my defense. I blame the referee

Frankly, for a beginner, this game is unplayable!
Maybe because the chosen teams are too strong?
First match against Manchester United... 0-9
In the end, 0 win, 25 goals against me and a miracle with 1 goal in the last game, the game must feel pity for me

1x10000 + (-24*100) + 1 = 7601 World Record (starting from the end)

FINALLY! we find a game that you are not good at.

...although with your lead in the player championship, it hardly matters.

I think with the low turnout this round, you might scoop 8 points for last place.

(21*10000) + (14*100) + 19 = 211,419

Won all matches Again nervy last match, definitely should have trashed ManC. Real Madrid was very tough, I was lucky to win 1-0.
Looks like best teams you can choose are from Serie A, but difficult to say which is best: AC Milan, Juventus, Lazio or Parma.

I think it really depends on you playing style. I prefer Juventus and Lazio. But AC are the power kings.

Liverpool are in interesting option, Phil Babb and Scales absolutely fly and can dominate the mid field if you move them up the pitch a bit.

^ Eintracht Frankfurt is slightly superior to all of the above in my opinion.

I've had quite a few goes at this but am struggling a bit. This plays very differently from Sensi 96-97 which I am most familiar with. This is my best score so far.

I did just try with Parma and they felt like a very good team, although a rash of injuries and red cards to the strikers ended the run after 4 games.

Fortunately I had 1 point otherwise I had a negative score

In fact at the time I was in the opposite camp
With my friends we only played KICK OFF (and Player Manager playing alone).
I had an excellent level at this videogame.

It takes a lot of practice to have a good level of this kind of game and with a double round it's impossible to catch pro players who have played hundreds of hours.
I will try to win a match at least

Kick Off (specifically Kick Off 2) is such an important Amiga game (regardless of whether you love it or hate it) I'm surprised it hasn't come up in the comp. In fact I'm not sure it's ever had a vote?! Personally I wouldn't mind having a blast at it although I'm hardly overly proficient at it.

Well, Goal! was played in 2016 - don't know how huge the difference between Kick Off 2 and Goal! was (I didn't participate).

Definitely big difference! I have found Kick Off 2 totally unplayable, although I don't hate it I haven't ever been able to control ball at all and tend to lose matches at least 0-5. Goal! is much easier on that matter, since ball can be controlled even with my skills.

(21*10000) + (18*100) + 27 = 211,827

And again drama against Real Madrid. Lazio leads 2-1 and after 60 mins referee shows red card to my defender (Chamot). And 83 min referee decides to gift penalty to Real Madrid. So it is 2-2.
However I get penalty after 89 minutes of play. Maybe game somehow saw my blood pressure is way too high and decided that it would be better to give me penalty? Anyway Boksic scored and match ended 3-2.
Other matches were easier, even beat Barcelona 6-2.
I tend to use tactic 4-4-2. Tried earlier with three attackers (4-3-3), but after horrible results reverted back to 4-4-2, with which I've played since 1995

Good read! And thanks for the info about Goal! - I've added Kick Off 1&2 now to the best games yet to be played-thread.

mihcael's server is down so we can't update the scores currently.

1*10,000 + (-21*100) + 2 = 7,902

Managed a 1-1 against Manchester City. Guess I'll switch to one of the suggested teams next time...
