I don't object. Just hope that noone else copies any discs you sell, and starts selling them.

If you plan to sell it on ebay, register the copyright of the compilation and the related artwork under ebay's Vero program. Then if anyone copies the compilation and attempts to sell it on ebay you can have the auctions swiftly removed.

I guess it's only free if you get it from someone for free, its actual production, in terms of man hours and physical costs, is far from negligable.

How much are you thinking of selling it for Bippy?

Its free to download, but the materials, wear and tear on my system, electricity, postage & packing, physical man hours to copy etc.. all costs me money!!

I voted "I object" because I didn't like the idea of free demos being sold around. Of course you spent a great deal of effort on this but I think I'll like this more as a non commercial project. I don't really "object" it's what the options say.

I know well the months you spent compiling this one Bippy and if your going to distribute it via EBAY you have more right to do so than those who just rip someone elses compilation.

Because you can't spend time burning these and then just give them away for free , Peanuts suguestion of registering it under the Vero Programme is going to be the only way , to curb others doing just that and sticking their own title on it , therefore you are now cursed to forever spending so many hours a week protecting your baby

Its that harsh gut feeling that pxscroll brings into reality , the fact that demo's have been mostly distributed free in one form or another [allowing for the fact of the various compiltion CD's/BBS & floppy disks over the years from one source or another ]

But your project is a DVD 5 X the content of a CD being distributed at a lot less than CD examples , so its very clear profit is NOT your motive , but the a natural wish to ensure this collection is distributed to as wide an audience as possible at a fair price . BEFORE some lowlife aquires a copy through p2p , ftp or torrents etc and sets themselves up distributing a less than perfect eddition that disgraces your hard research and efforts .

So from me goodluck and hopefully it will in itself reach those who you first started the project for

I say sure sell it on Ebay you've done all the work m8! as long as cost is reasonable i have no problem with it being on ebay compared to the rest of the scammers out on ebay. Lets say Akin to PD librarys of old ie distribution costs, putting it alltogether etc even demo's on disk were a couple of quid plus post a dvd is bigger better and worth a bit more in anyone's book! And as you are the compiler of the project and not a seller of a seller then fair play to you m8! Go for it and good luck
