A600 PSU capacitors
Hi,
I have an early A1200 which came with an A600 supply from new. A few nights ago the PSU began to smell of imminent capacitor death. An acrid smell emanating from a cap on the bottom left near the power switch. Are there any guides online as to what caps are required for these units as I guess I may as well recap the entire thing. Thanks. |

they used different boards in all the supplys,common in commodore power supplys.
thats why you cant find a guide or schematic for them online... just replace the caps for same or higher voltage rating(not capacitance),you should be able to read whats written on them. |

In their consistency Commodore did not pot all of the C64 supplies in epoxy, some have the just the PCB in the case
