EaglePlayer, Arexx, Alignment, and Guru
Hi all!
 Leof and I are facing yet-another problem, this time with EaglePlayer and its Arexx port. (You may recall that, in some cases, EaglePlayer would not reply to a message...) On Leof's 68000 Amiga, after sending an Arexx message to EaglePlayer, GetMsg(reply_port) invites a Guru 8000 0003... again an alignment problem? This problem doesn't occur (at all) on a 68020+ (I personnally use EaglePlayer all day long) or on Leof's 68000 Amiga with DeliTracker II. The problem seems to come from whatever EaglePlayer replies... Would that makes sense? Could there be a way to workaround that? Cheers! |

You can ask EP author to fix this problem for 68000.

Thanks for your reply I just wanted to be sure first that the problem is with EaglePlayer and now my code because I'm still learning the "ropes"

For be 100% sure catch this error with WHDload or WinUAE and show crash report.

Hey Don!
Unfortunately, I cannot reproduce this Guru in my WinUAE, it "only" happens on Leof's real Amiga. Leof tested HippoPlayer too and there's no crash, so it's indeed EaglePlayer causing it! At least I can say that AmiModRadio is innocent of that Guru Cheers! |

Do You set good config on WinUAE? You must choose 68000 and More Compatible (strange name) option, to catch odd addres error.

Yes, I have selected: "More compatible" and "24-bit addressing". I think that they are the "default" when creating a A500 config. With this config., I was able to reproduce on alignment problem but not this new one... Cheers! |
