how many users ?

shamelessly pinched from another site , but interested in eab members opinion.

So how many amiga users worldwide would be your guesstimate at this moment in time ? By users i mean currently booting up an amiga (not emulator) at least once a week for a games/serious use ?

You'd have to count me out as I dont boot either of my A1200s or my A500s as I don't get time to set them up.

There can't be that many at all. A couple of thousand at max is my guess. And if I had to take AmigaOne users into account, that would probably raise the number by 20.

That number is an all-time number, not for the last couple of days. It's a popular emulator, but not THAT popular ;-(

My real Amiga 2000 is already dead for a couple of years now, and even before it died I didn't use it anymore like in the good old 90'th when I did my home-banking with it, used it with Term for BBS connections etc. Today, I'm running WinUAE only with OS 3.9 installed, mainly for programming things like the icon.library, but believe me or not, I never USE it for anything in real life, because it makes no sense to start an emulator when the host system is already up and running. So, I'm not an Amiga USER at all, just a computer nerd who still likes the Amiga. I would expect that there are still 1000-3000 Amiga users in this world, but maybe 500 are actively doing something seriously with their systems except playing stupid games.

There were never many amiga users in the world even in the glory days, if you subtract those playing games.
