[Found: sid1.scoopex-2] Looking for: AMAZING cracktro music (Fred?)
This is a bit off-topic, but maybe someone can help me:
When I was a lot younger, I had a cracked game which had an intro-tune that was absolutely amazing. I often booted the game, just to hear the cracktro-music, not to play the game. One point to mention was that the intro often failed to load, you had to boot multiple times to get it running. I think the game was Fred (Ubi Soft), and the intro was from Scoopex? Not sure, and I cannot check now since the intro won´t load on a newer Amiga and my only left Amiga 500 is currently in the cellar. Anyone else who loved this song and could provide me with any information how to get the music from this old cracktro?? |

Do you have (or could you make) an ADF of your disk? I'm sure it's possible for someone to rip it out for you...

i check planetemu but i didn't find any version cracked by Scoopex.
I think i remember the cracktro this one but i'm not sure about the music as sometimes they use several music for the same intro. As link on Pouet seems dead i can't check the intro. If my memory is correct, i think it's Beat To The Pulp by Romeo Knight a SIDMon 1 musicfile (Eagle/Deli/Hippo can play it) If you still have the disk, you can try to rip the music yourself using ExoticRipper. EDIT: i just find a PC remake of the Scoopex Cracktro on Legacy Is it the same cracktro used in Fred game ? Last edited by Frog; 30 March 2008 at 14:33. |

yep it's the game Fred with Scoopex cracktro http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=9687 : the cracktro test if a value is in memory, if not, then the value is poked in mem and you have to reboot (dont remove the disk!) : the intro start.
I have resourced this intro - and even made an Amiga remake in 1990 (and pc remake not yet very good - soon remade better than the first version). I know very well the problem the tune is "law of the kult" by Mindstorm, in SID format. Estrayk have done a remake Last edited by heavy; 30 March 2008 at 19:32. |
