Actually an A600 would probably make an excellent MIDI instrument, and it's size would be perfect for live sets.

This could be the case, if there were any trackers that accepted MIDI input, or a decentsoftsynth app that takes MIDI input.

But it's not the case.

Maybe as a sequencer bx using Bard n Pipes, but then again, I would preffer a hardware sequencer of other sort, like a Roland SP-808

mix it up with WB1.3 and then make much use of the SaY commands for a live set

So OctaMEd takes MIDI INPUT? I can sequence it synchronized to an external MIDI clock? I can use the Amiga as a synth module?

Not that I like OctaMED but it might prove useful for something. Still, Octamed's synthesis sucks and it's far from being cool for a live instrument. MLine or AHX would be great synths to use live...

Still interested in knowing about OctamED

Back on-topic, it looks like a great hack although i'm not sure of the legal status of playing Lotus 2 whilst actually driving.

You can download the manual from the OctaMED website, which explains how to use the MIDI features.
