And did you ever try my new HM020 with HAM8 icons? I bet, you did not.

Yes, there are sometimes newer versions of ThirdParty tools available, but those which are included in my archive should still do the job. I will update LoadModule on the next release.

Btw, my HAM8 experiment with 48 base colors looks better now than only 27, as expected. But it becomes very difficult to integrate the pens 0-7 as additional possible base colors. The system, MWB and pointer colors are looking normal now.

No Carlo, nothing done, you didn't do it and you didn't understand it.

The monitor icons don't show HAM8 images, and the old planar HAM icons have nothing to do with my HAM8 mode. My HM020 version displays all color icons in HAM8 if you install my FullPalette.prefs file and FPPrefs correctly.

Perhaps you were referring to how a Ham8 screen shows OS4 icons etc ..

Your screenshot shows no HAM8 mode at all. What you need is:

1. HM020 installed (Please, no AfA_OS) and the AGA chipset.
2. my FullPalette.prefs file in ENVARC:Sys and FPPrefs after IPrefs.
3. MUIScreenModePrefs to switch to a mode which supports HAM8 with 64 base colors, don't forget to enable "HAM",
... or double click one of my HAM8 screenmode icons if you have the monitor drivers installed.

I had done everything and I used a standard OS3.9 (No AfA-OS), the only thing I missed was the Monitor "HIGHGFX" that I will have escaped reading the instructions.

No, no, no, that's not MUIScreenModePrefs, the normal ScreenmodePrefs has no support for HAM.

It's no HAM8 screen or my palette is not installed. I can see that from the light blue window frame color. And the icons are displayed in normal colormapping mode.

Is it really sooo difficult to do 3 simple things?

Yeah, please switch on "HAM" in MUIScreenmodePrefs, as Kolla says.

And put FullPalette.prefs into ENVARC:Sys
The icon is not required there, it was just for the blind people to find the file in my HAM8 drawer

And where is the problem with half brite?
I take half a liter beer now, before I fall asleep, too.

OK, switch on "HAM", but ENVARC:Sys , it should not be the right place "Sys" it is reserved for the system ?

Tell the FP author. No really, sys is "reserved" for system related prefs - FP is a palette prefs substitute, so envarc:sys is quite correct. The major point is that env:sys is where FPPrefs is looking for it.

I checked with Snoopdos, he only looks for it on that path, a bit strange that he does not have an alternative route, thank you all for this experience too.

Peter i do not use "MUIScreen Mode Prefs" on AfA-OS, do you think it would be appropriate to use it?

I suppose AfA window decorations don't support HAM, but other than that, I don't see why there would be a problem.

Grazie Kolla, i do not care HAM8 su AfA-OS, i like the screens RTG, of "MUIScreen Mode Prefs" i like the aesthetics even if there are problems on the tests of the Tab (vedi screenshot)

You know what that means "Colla" in Italian? ->Glue

I don't see any problem with MUIScreenmodePrefs. I have installed it additional to the normal ScreenmodePrefs on my OS 3.9, not as a replacement, using it only for HAM screens.
