Winuae won't start anymore/crashes

Hello everyone,
after my fresh reinstallation of Win7 64bit Winuae won't work anymore. I can start the programm and mess with the configurations, but no matter what settings I try, once I click "start" windows tells me that "Winuae is not working anymore, a solution is being looked for" (not verbatim, translated from german). Sometimes I get a winuae crash messages with a dumpfile created before that windows message.
This happens with the old backed up 2.3.2 installation from the old system, and with the newly installed 2.4.1
Am I missing some drivers or some sort of environment installation like net framework, java or whatever?
I uploaded all the files I saw mentioned in other threads, they may not be matching, since a dumpfile is only created rarely.

Strange. Debugger says "not available" for winuae main thread. It is probably some kind of weird driver issue.

Does it happen if run in windowed mode? Without sound? In DirectDraw mode? (misc panel)

Do you see more log lines than in included winuaelog.txt if you run winuae with -log command line parameter?

You really know you stuff well, switching to directdraw made it work again.

So I assume I am missing some sort of direct3d driver component on my system? Anyone have any ideas what I need to install? I have the latest nvidia driver and directx install, so I'm not sure what could be missing.

You installed DirectX, as if I recall correctly, when I do a fresh install, lots of stuff wont work properly until I install the DX distribution.

Make also sure you have proper display driver installed, not some basic one that comes with Windows.

True, if it cant find your card, it uses some stupid legacy driver.

I had some deeper problems here, unrelated to Winuae, turns out none of my other Directx9 games were working either, but dx10 and dx11 were ok. Installing the june 2010 redistributable made no difference, neither did the webinstaller.

What fixed it in the end was simply installing the nvidia drivers again, even though the same version was already installed. No idea what happened here, but now direct3d is working again, in Winuae, too.
