A4000 - Updating from SuperBuster 9 to SuperBuster 11

Hi,

Ive just bought a superbuster 11 chip that I want to use to replace the existing superbuster 9 chip.

When I replace the 9 chip with the 11 chip, my A4000 does not boot up, I get activity on the hd light, but then nothing but a blank screen. Replacing the 11 chip with the 9 chip, everything works fine again.

Is there any other configuration that I need to do when upgrading to superbuster 11?

Thanks,

Mark

No, not really. Just swap the chip. Are you sure that pin 1 is on the right place? Are there any other pins bend? Is the buster 11 in working order?

Another thing Ive noticed - the keyboard seems responsive insomuch as toggling the caps lock turns the caps lock light on and off. Also doing a Ctrl-Amiga-Amiga, appears to reset the computer, as the computer starts polling the devices again, but there is nothing on the screen.

Update: Stripped down my A4000, removed CDROM, HD, and accelerator, replaced with old A3640 - appears to be working now. Might be related to my accelerator.

Thanks,

Mark

I was actually thinking of going from an 11 to a 9

The 9 has the extra feature of being able to have multiple DMA masters. Whereas you can only have one with an 11
