Amiga won't Boot With Cf Card Attached to IDE on TF530 Accelerator :-(

Hi To All

Am having Mega trouble with getting the Amiga to Boot with a Cf Card Adapter Connected to the IDE on my TF530 Accelerator. Have tried it Both Powered and Unpowered and won't Boot Either Way :-( Is there anything I'm missing? Does Splitting the Power from the Floppy Drive have any Role in this?

Thanks to all

Try powering up the Amiga with just the IDE cable. No CF card or adapter. If it doesn't boot you have the IDE cable in backwards. If it boots, add the adapter only and try again. If it doesn't boot then either the adapter is bad or the cable is in backwards at the adapter end. If it boots, then add the CF card and try again.

I have ordered a Much better Looking CF Adapter now as the other set fire and Burnt out two CF Cards so Had to order them with a Y splitter for the Power. this Adapter just ticks Straight out of the IDE Of the TF530 So I Cant Go Wrong. I thought id lost The Amiga Completely at first

the CF Cards themselves now just Get Extremely hot in the Reader of my pc and the pc doesn't ask me what to do with them until I unplug it so that tells me they have burnt out, plus they stank to high heaven lol

Have got the Short Ribbon Cable that Arrived this Morning and it Boots with it Plugged in, Don't want to Even try that CF Adapter now that I Seen it Smoking, Plus I Havent got Any Spare CF Cards now Anyway as it Burnt my Two Spares Out. I'm Best Just Waiting now I Think for the Decent Adapter Which Doesn't Even need the Ribbon Cable lol :-)
