Mean streets does not start
Hi,
I'm trying to get Mean Streets to run under UAE, but when I insert disk 1, it just turns up empty. Under workbench 3.1, I can see that there is a 'boot.prg' on the disk, but it doesn't seem to autorun, and starting it manually does not seem to work. I'm new to amiga and UAE, so perhaps I'm missing something obvious... I got the files from http://planetemu.net/index.php?secti...dat=754&page=m Thanks! |

Use the Paradox (PDX) release.

Well the PDX release certainly boots up, but I couldn't get past the "Insert disk 1 in DF0:". Disk 1 was already inserted so I inserted disk 2 but it wasn't happy with that either.
Try the FLT release. |

Go to the Chipset options and turn off cycle exact. Game refuses to boot with this turned on.

Both, "FLT" and "PDX" version works here, using standard A500 config(best compability mode).
Anyway the "FLT" version does not show some screens.(US gold logo and small animation before first level). There are some corruptrd sets, do not use this sets: Quote:

Thanks for all the tips! Turns out my biggest problem was unfamiliarity with Amiga. What I did was booting with the Workbench disk, then inserting the game disk, and opening it by double clicking the drive icon...
Booting from the game disk works just fine :-) |
