File Transfer to a 1200 over the airwaves...

I've just got a wireless PCMCIA card for my Miggy. How do I transfer files over from my PC's HD? My PC is connected to a wireless router so all the HW is in place. I think I need to install some software on the PC to make it work, something about a Samba share rings a bell but I haven't got a clue.

Or you could set up a simple FTP server on the PC perhaps?

Raiden is also great on the PC but paid for and maybe a little complicated. If you have XP Pro you can install IIS by going to Add/Remove and then Windows Components and then IIS make sure you tick FTP.

Open IIS and then new FTP server choose a directory and job done - make a Windows account give this permissions to the share and logon as this.

Sounds more complicated that it is.

Would installing smbfs on the miggy and pointing it to a shared-out folder on the peecee be better?
