avi recording
Something I think needs adding to the latest version indefinitely is an alternative to AVI recording.
I have a Pentium 4 Quad Core which is the current best in the Pentium range and AVI recording is out of sync through all my testing. AVI is an out of date format anyway. Nobody uses it anymore because mp4 is the default format for things like HD television plus it has support for fast movements so recording with a format like that would probably capture a video without the out of sync issues that AVI has. Recorded AMIGA Games and all those sites also use MP4 X264 so no loss will happen if the WinUAE can record X264 mp4 for you as no need for converting a file to a different format. Out with the old and in with the new I say. See how it goes if you can add it in. |

You of course realise that all those x264 videos started out as avi with exact same sync.
Its very unlikely even the fastest pc could record 50/60 fps x264 in real time without issues. and just about all recording software uses avi. encoding to x264 is only the finals tage after recording/editing. |

(Moved from beta thread, read the first post first!)
Same answer as always: I am not interested. Also there is nothing wrong with AVI (except size limit), you can put anything you want inside AVI, it is just a (old) container format, everything supports it. |
