Anyone know about Amiga Fun?
I got hold of a couple of issues of Amiga Fun recently, which appears to be a free mag given away with Amiga games back in 1991. Has anyone else heard of this mag or got any copies? Would they be worth a mention on AMR?

The German mag? I'm asking as that started later than 1991. Or is it something else? If it's the German one, it's the same magazine as Amiga Games, just with a different cover, full games and higher price. Amiga Games' first issue was 10/92, Amiga Fun I don't know

The magazine certainly wasn't a freebie, but had a free covermounted game on each issue.
We'd like scans and review indexes of these magazines if anyone out there is prepared to do them. Unfortunately we don't have any issues of these so can't do them ourselves. |

Oh I see; I got confused by the line at the bottom of the cover: "Amiga Fun - a free magazine with the games you buy"! It was their twist on the usual selling point - "the 28 page 'pamphlet' was considered secondary to the complete, previously unreleased cover game" (http://www.amigahistory.co.uk/amigafun.html), which makes sense considering it was so slim.
I have issues 3 and 5 (mags only), so will see what I can do about scanning them at some point, if that will help. |
