Hi

I'm interested in this, sounds like a fun repair project, especially as I have no handheld after my PSP was stolen from me in a burglary(!)

Have you made any attempt to repair any of the problems yet mate, or is it as you received it?

How does the LCD cable problem exhibit itself - weird/missing colours?

What about the nub, by usual problem do you mean it's inaccurate or constantly wandering?

Finally would you consider shipping to the UK, and if so, what would be the damage?

Cheers!

d0pefish, have a look on the openpandora forums for a description of the issues - both are well known and, being frank, both should be fixable under warranty unless it was bought with known problems (a few were sold with a known faulty nub)

I'd be interested, but I'd really strongly suggest having a look to see whether you could get the issues fixed under warranty.

Thankyou chiark, if I did end up going ahead with it I'd definitely be exploring the warranty route, but if it's not a possibility I'm not overly shy of surface-mount soldering

@Vars191: Did you just decide to not bother with warranty because you didn't like the Pandora? Or have you tried?

Cheers

Hi
I bought it from another person and it was perfect when he bought it and it went faulty over time I don’t think it can be repaired under warranty, I have not tried to repair it
Postage to UK is $30 airmail singed for

Thanks for the info mate.

I'd like to buy it from you if you're happy to ship to the UK, would you accept PayPal if I sent payment as a gift?

PM me with your details and I'll be in touch.

Cheers

Hi Vars

Just to let you know the Pandora arrived today safely - thanks for the quick postage, that's pretty good from Australia!

I already have new parts on the way and have successfully managed to desolder the defective nub - looks promising and I'm already having fun with it as it is

Thanks again!
