Amiga Sound-a-likes

Where the music/soundFX has been borrowed, or at least sounds similar to contemorary art. (Pop music, movies, etc.)

Here's some to get the ball rolling.

Bubble BobbleThe couple of bars just before the music loops around does sound A LOT like the riff from 'When the saints go marching in'.

Raimbow IslandsObviously supposed to be 'Somewhere over the rainbow'.

Just about every PD game, as well as a number of commercial titlesSamples from the movie 'Alien'. "Gameover Man!", etc.

This one's a bit more speculative, but I always though the theme music from TurricanII world 1, sounds like 'Jump' by Poision(I think). It was in the charts shortly before the release of the game.

On Garrison's title screen you hear a sample from Dire Straits' Money for nothing.

You don't mean Jump by Van Halen, do you? If so, I surely wouldn't agree on that

Sounds in International Karate+ are from some movie with Bruce Lee (Enter the Dragon?)
Sounds in Heretic are also in various fantasy/horror movies.
I'm curious from which movie are samples in Abuse.

Obvious one -

Shadow of the Beast and Wrath of the Demon. They have pretty similar sounding music.

"PA-IA!" stomach punch is such a rewarding sound

F/A-18 Interceptor music sounds like it's sampled stuff from Top Gun soundtrack, not sure though. But the bell sounds awfully familiar

My brother reckons that there are similarities between the music from Jump 'n' Roll and [ Show youtube player ]. Fairly tenuous...

Send a message via Yahoo to MOS-6581
The intro to Apano Sin used a looped sample of Jan Hammer's Crockett's Theme.
