It's pretty smooth and good looking on an actual CPC and a CRT.

I had it running literally back-to-back with the AMIGA version and it is impressive. Yes AMIGA version is beautiful, and has great sound effects. But hats off to the guys, they know how to make 8-bits sing! - Looking forward to the release version.

Those CRTC chips are silicon magic! Shame there are so many versions! Least I have replaced the 'crap' one in my 6128 with a demo friendly one

So many people admitted to basically writing a spectrum emulator for the Amstrad to port their spectrum games across cause they shared the same cpu.

the market was not there for the CPC so they were understandably lazy

In England at least. In France, the CPC market share was 60% in 1990.

The ST and Amiga were only 10 and 11% respectively.

The speccy ports were an english specific. The spectrum as you know it in UK never had any success in France, where it was seen as a prehistoric computer from the start of its selling in shops.

Yeah, unlike a powerhouse like the Oric-1, which was really popular in France and just as weak as a Speccy.

The Oric computer was not that popular at all. Its sales were weak, as much as those of the speccy.

The most loved 8 bits machine in France was the CPC.

You mean weak like the CPC in Britain?

Well the CPC was only 10% of the market in feb 1991 in UK in term of softwares sold.

The CPC reach 1,2 millions of machine here.

I remember this computer died very quickly. The CPC has buried almost all the other computers : the C64, the MO5, TO7, Zx spectrum, zx81, and so on.
Some of them have been killed in less than 2 years, like the C64, as well as the zx spectrum.

And on second place?

It's the TO7, sold at 500.000 units only.

This one is going to kick aaaaaass so much that everyone is going to be put in orbit around Pluto. That's not an awesome adaptation for the cpc, that's just an awesome adaptation! I bet they will do pinball fantaisies then!

I'm mostly impressed about the ball physics. A lot of ports have gotten this wrong, even DI's own PSP port. This one looks really spot on. A lot of effort and love has been put in analyzing the original game to be able to replicate its essence.
