Classic Games Revamped - Requests!
Bring 'em on!! List a retro game or two, not necessarily one done on the Amiga you'd like to see updated or even a sequel to.
EAB member DaphydTheBard is developing shoot-em-up Xenon III:Gygablast, a remake of Xenon II. Follow its progress here: http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=20909 ... and fellow EAB member Ironlord is doing a remake of the excellent Moonstone, more information here: http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=21950 My requests: Ok, ok, I'm not saying that these are ever likely to be updated but ya never know!!! Skool Daze/Bak 2 Skool (Spectrum) - fresh lick of paint and maybe in 3D? More antics too! Bobby Bearing (Spectrum) - Similar to Spindizzy worlds on the Amiga but had curved graphics and was bloody addicitve. Spindizzy on the other hand was a major dissappointment Ant Attack (Spectrum) - Who can forget this one?? Imagine giant sized ants in 3D comin' at ya in an updated version?! So many more I'd like to see brought up to date or sequels made and if I had the time and knowledge I'd be more than willing to program them! PS For the retro fanatics, look up http://www.remakes.org/ this is a site dedicated to giving up-to-date info on every game being currently remade!! |

LOL.... Have to admit, When I first got WinUAE, Manic Miner was the second game I loaded after Slam Tilt... the one that has Jet Set Willy on it as well? Great game and one I've STILL not completed!! I refuse to use the cheats!
But thanks again Sarek2k! Have you got any requests tho'... a game you so long wanted to see a remake of? Another one i'd like to see is Trashman but on viewing the New Generation Software site, the link to download the updated version is unavailable. Last edited by quahappy; 09 April 2006 at 23:42. |

Yes on Amiga do you remeber a tetris (nintendo style) clone by symbiosis that was AWESEOME! i did do graphics for a remake in modern style (GBA SP in various colours) and the coder also did about 65 - 75% of the game we had an awesome sound track but the coder ran out of patience and it never got finished was a real pity cause it was looking great!
This was the silver version with the title screen of the game Kepheran who also resides here did the unfinished code the game graphics and the logo in the title pic (moscow scene) the backgrounds came from some desktop theme set |

Real shame your project never got finished... I've lost count of the number of disbanded games. Looks good 'an all!! You could always put a thread on here to see if someone like to help finish the project off?
Was playing Bobby Bearing on an Speccy Emulator again this morning.... fantastic for its time (and still is!!) and so in need of an update!!! |

Beneath a Steel Sky 2 (BASS2)..... A sequel was apparently "confirmed" way back in March 2004 and information is pretty thin on the ground except to say the game was to be on PC and next-gen consoles. There no longer appears to be any mention of BASS2 at Revoloution Softwares' official site tho'..... Anyone shed any light??

I'd love to see a decent remake of Lemmings or Lemmings Tribes.
Not the flash versions with the same old screens, but new with new levels! That would really make my day. |

Not strictly an Amiga classic, but a classic notheless.
Head to this link http://mercenarysite.free.fr/mercframes.htm and download MDDClone, a Mercenary/Damocles/Dion Crisis Remake. |
