Just like the Monkey Island sequels and remakes, to me this looks misaligned with the original franchise. Some bits and pieces have been cherry picked from the original to kind of make the connection, but coupled with art direction that is not truthful to the original and that does not really grasp its real essence. The freely moving 3D camera feels out of place as well.
What it comes to Beyond the Steel Sky remakes, there's a really nice hires version drawn by a fan that pretty much nails it as far as I'm concerned. Art side aside, I do wish the team the best in their endeavour and do hope they pull it off successfully in the end as this is the kind of a project I always feel happy to vote for with my wallet.
