J100 Quadrature Clock Phasing = QUADCLK
J102 System Clock Source = BRDCLK
J104 CPU Clock Source = CPUCLK

Looking at the photo, they are probably under your CPU card.

Actually, I didn't know that they were only marked with numbers in the 3000T.
They are written in txt on the 3000 mainboard.

@Chain
Thx for those, now I can actually fit the CSPPC in it, ready for OS4 (Just fitted the prometheus and Voodoo 3)

Ummm.. also noticing, there isn't a "INT" or "EXT" label on them... so which way is int and which way is ext? and why does QUADCLK have 4 pins?

I think it is the same information as on BBoAH

  • J102 Board Clock. This jumper has two positions. In position 1-2 the sorce for CPUCLKa and CPUCLKb must be EXTCPU. In position 2-3 it shorts the 68030 and local bus clock sources, such that CPUCLKa and CPUCLKb and CLK30 all all derive from the same source, which is either EXTCPU or the clock based on the local logic, depending on the state of J104.
  • J103 FPU Chip select jumper. This jumper has three positions. In position 1-2 it disables the onboard FPU. In position 2-3 it causes the 68030 to get F-line traps instead of the FPU transaction and in position 3-4 it enables the onboard FPU.
  • J104 CPU CLOCK. This jumper has two positions. In position 1-2 the source for CLK30 is derived from the on-board clock generator. In position 2-3 the source for CLK30 must come from EXTCLK by by way of J102.
  • J105 System clock disable. In the 2-3 position this jumper allows DIS_CLKS line from the local bus slot to operate normally. In the 1-2 position it forces DIS_CLKS high (asserted) disabling on-board system clock generation.
  • J106 CLK90 short jumper. In the 2-3 position there are two versions of CLK90. The system normally runs this way. In the 1-2 position the two CLK90 lines are shorted toghether to allow a single line to source both clocks.
  • J107 68030 Clock disable. In the 2-3 position this jumper allows the DIS_CLK30 line from the local bus slot to operate normally. In the 1-2 position it forces DIS_CLK30 high (asserted) disabling on-board 68030 clock generation.

Right.. here's a quick and simple question..

If there's someone out there with an A3000T with a CSPPC working in their machine, can you please post what ALL your jumper setting are 'cause I just can't get it to work!

You have the INT2 modification?

Perhaps it is This?

U103 is the empty socket in Chain's photo above.

If you read on Usenet the missing U103 is the source of the majority of A3000T accelerator problems.

I was told that it's been done... But I guess that doesn't mean that it HAS been done... lol

I can always take the motherboard out (major work!) and check though.. heh...

If not.. I'll probably find someone else to do the mod for me... I can solder, but I wouldn't trust myself with a 3000T.. lol.. I'd probably kill myself if I screwed it up.. heh

Hehe, I cracked my A3000T's buster socket when prying it out (didn't have a PLCC puller then).. I just took my paint stripper gun and replaced it.. :-)

Just use common sense when soldering, the int2 mod is very simple to do. Double check what you counted and solder the wire.

lol..

Well.. AmigaKit will do it cheap (hooray) so I'll probably send it off to them.

May also get them to do the buster change while they're there..
I'm taking no risks with my beauty.. heh (Especially since cash is low and there's no way I could afford another 3000T at the moment)
