Some Powermonger building models I made :)

Just for fun, I recreated the building graphics from Powermonger as 3D models, keeping the color scheme and opting for a low-poly, pixel art look.

I already have far too many project on hand but one more would be an updated version of Powermonger (which I actually never played more than 1 minute, that UI design... ) which improves gameplay but keeps the general concept of a living, breathing world that is grounded in reality and has individual behaviors for each character in the world, something that other Bullfrog games (namely Dungeon Keeper) were also known for.

The original sprites:

By the way, I would be glad if anyone could enlighten me as to the purpose of the tower-like structure with nearby dog kennel (?) behind the church... After reading the manual, I learned that ore mines always have a watchtower nearby but I don't know if that means the normal, high watchtower to the left or the lower one with angled support beams and small hut mentioned above.

Do you have an example game that features the viewing angle you mean? Like in The Chaos Engine or The Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past?

Like in The Settlers or Foundation, for example. Something viewed by face rather than by the side.

Sorry, but I'm confused. The Settlers shows buildings from an isometric perspective (sort of) and Foundation's camera is all over the place but has a similar camera pitch

Civilization when it shows the city, maybe ?
What happens if you just rotate the view by 45 degree on y axis ?
