True, but even I was able to install it, I'm stil saying that I don't need this. For what? For Whdload games, for music playing, for some old graphics programs. This configuration I have is quite enough for me. 16 Mb of fast memory is enough for full preload of 99,9% of amiga games and 030 processor enough for also 99,9 % amiga games (actually I bought turbo card only because some whdload games slows down a bit with comparison to standard executing from disks).

You need an AmigaOne for OS4.1 which puts it out of reach for almost everybody I think.

I'm probably going to get flamed for this but is there a Linux distro that's compatible with the a1200 ppc etc?

I don't get it. What's the business idea? It seems crazy to launch a new OS for an obsolete computer model that has not been sold since 2004. And which did not sell in enormous quantities then either. Especially since the new OS does not appear to better then competition in any way.
What were they thinking? Something in the lines of... hey, there was this obsolete computer that we sold a few of in -04, how about making a new, but old-fashioned, OS for it? |

While I disagree I appreciate that it's subjective so I'll point out that if someone is having a hard time there are countless places to go for help due to the wide adoption of the OS. Such is not possible with a niche OS. Food for thought.
