Fair comment! I'll only create IPF's from dumps that are virus free and seem complete then. If/when we have another source to compare we can see which one is the better dump!

Not protected was Twin Spark Soft programs.
But most TSS programs need special handling (from manual) to start.
Of course I see only a few Alderan programs.
First was one of the last Alderan's program "Pepe Srubokrecik" (Pepe the Screwdriver).

BarryB is right. There're many programs released by Alderan without protection. Bird's CD came from Warsaw "stock market" but there were also others "stock markets" inPoland with their own CDs like Poznan, Wroclaw, Krakow etc. I've some in my possesion with different content compared to Bird's CDs.

I've no idea why disks are different but content seems to be identical.

Or, should we release ADF's only until we can verify against another source so IPF's can be released?

Right now my MIA list of polish software contains 296 titles.
43 MIA belongs Alderan + Arrakis (i'm couting both companies as one becuse part of Alderan was sold and created Arrakis and other part became Alderan - Gemini Group)

40 MIA belongs to Biuro Informatyczno-Wydawnicze + Fundacja Edukacji Technologicznej (i'm couting both companies as one becuse BIW took over all rights to FET releases)

So it's ~28% of all missing

I doubt that many dumps will ever surface to compare. What was achived so far is true miracle

I dont think so. Bird's (Zbyszek) has the biggest Amiga polish collection at begining of 90 years. He has almost everything from polish titles without protection. Remember it was Warsaw market, but source was from full Poland. Many users from full Poland buyed/exchanged titles for Bird CD collection.

Edit.
Bird was first polish Amiga CD trader.
Andy Brent (Alderan) protection/copylock is very easy to crack.
Then someone can crack some Alderan programs.
To be more sure, You must check which data are stored at track 31.0.
Also, if I remember right Alderan programs has stored one file at disk, related to Andy Brent copylock.
Of course, maybe very first Alderan programs has no protection, or was no space (full disk) for copylock.
But it seems that Andy Brent copylock was used in Alderan programs from 1992 year.

Yes, but some polish original titles contains viruses.
Then no preservation, or preserved as 2 versions with/without virus.

Do we have a list of known Polish titles that were released with a virus?

About viruses.
You can check Amiga virus base here:

https://www.vht-dk.dk/amiga/desc/virus.htm

And check year of creation for virus.

Then if You detect Happy New Year 95 virus on Amiga program from 1993 year, it disk must be infected after by user.

https://www.vht-dk.dk/amiga/desc/txt/hny-9697.htm

But f.e for Lamer Exterminator it can be spreaded originally.

https://www.vht-dk.dk/amiga/desc/txt/lamer2.htm

Often enough exist a few versions of same polish program.
f.e Kajko i Kokosz or Legion
Then this is not easy to detect, which version is original, and which is not.
You can compare mostly files creation date.

For Andy Brent (Alderan) protection, if I remember right at begining was allocated space on disk for this copylock/protection.
Fake file was created on disk.
Name can be different, but file size must be same.
Perhaps it was 488 x 11 bytes (for full track) , but im not sure, maybe a few bytes less.
Then You can locate this file (via file length) on Alderan programs disk.
If You located this file, You will be know that this disk was originally protected with Andy Brent copylock/protection.
Of course except WT cracks. I removed this fake file, perhaps from all Alderan WT cracks.

When we know a title was released with a virus do we still create the IPF or a disinfected IPF?

Striaght from the coder himself, nice catch! At least this will be 'original'

Seems the 'master' is not protected, your bad dump has protection but the SCP fails to load! Abaddon identified it as another variant of the Joy / Feezers copylock!
