At least the PC Engine got a perfect arcade port. I don't care about a few replaced sprites in Bikuriman World. It's indeed a disappointment that they were't able to do a proper Amiga port of such a simple platformer. Imagine Factor 5 instead of Images Design.

The PC Engine port was almost identical to the original, but I remember being disapointed by those replaced sprites when I bought the imported HuCard back then, so with some friends we still went to a bar in my neighborhood where you could play to the coin-op (around 1990). And by the way we never managed to do the +60 Gold trick on the PC Engine version which was so enjoying in the arcade, I wonder if it were ever implemented for the PCE (and that alone was quite a disapointment). Actually the only way to to play perfect arcade game I found was to buy an arcade cabinet after 2 months of painful summer job in 92 because I was fed up with all those downgraded conversions I had for my computer/consoles of the time. And after that I never had so many friends in a few time !

And I agree, of course, I think WonderBoy in Monsterland could have been a quite perfect conversions for the Amiga (a bit less colourful though).

I would have loved to have seen the Data East arcade games Two Crude Dudes (Crudebusters) and Tumblepop on the amiga.

Also omeba versions of the specky games The Trap Door and Saboteur would have been quality.

I can't think of a game which I wanted on the Amiga. In fact, it was more the other way around: I'd have loved if Hybris was ported to the Sega Megadrive/genesis. I was curious what would have been made of Paul van der Valk's soundtracks using the Megadrive's FM soundchip.

Well, maybe Streets of Rage on the Amiga

onkelarie: play with Beats Of rage instead. It's also a nice one.

I'd like to see Need For Speed 1, Ridge Racer, Daytona USA or Cruisin' USA. Any of these, with F-15 III or some other decent flightsim, maybe with mission editor....

Wonderboy in Monsterland isn't that bad. Its one of the better arcade ports, unfortunately.

Outrun or Power Drift are what I would call a really bad port (both much worse than C64 versions!!)

Mmm, at least the bgm and sound effects are the same, and the developers even exactly reproduced (emulated ?) the original arcade PSG type of sound. So we could say it is a perfect arcade port in the audio department !

Games such as Final Fantasy 7,8 and 9. Also, games with a similar engine.

Blackhawk/Blackthorn. Looks like a miggy game, plays like a miggy game. Made by the same dudes that made lost vikings and other famous games. Absolute awesome game. Should have been on the amiga.

wasteland. One of the more graphic rpgs from that time. Would have benefited from nice ocs graphics and sound.

shadowrun snes version. This one also feels like an miggy game. Absolute awesome. should have been one the amiga.

I yearned so much for Command & Conquer, but Westwood abandoned Amiga
It could have run pretty well on a moderately expanded A1200.

Many early & mid 1980 arcade games could have been converted pixel-perfect on the miggy (Pacman, Pengo, Moon Patrol, Green Beret) but I guess retrogaming did not exist in the late eighties .

And slightly O.T. I wish most US. Gold ports weren't so crappy on the miggy
There is unfinished clone of Green Beret/Rush 'n' Attack for Amiga: [ Show youtube player ]
I think it could be better than original if finished.

I know i have mentioned it on one of the topics but i would have like to have seen Bruce Lee, Zorro, The Eidolon, Bak 2 Skool and probably loads of other old 8 bit games that would have been lovely with better graphics.

I would have loved to have seen Hypersports and Combat School on the Amiga. I remember seeing adverts for shops that listed Combat School for the Amiga, but alas it never came...

I always wished for the conversion to Amiga of the X-Wing game, but it never happened.
