This one is perhaps not really a "Pointless feature", ok maybe it is.
Automatic "Save State" feature. Next time you've been playing that RPG for ages without saving and then you get killed etc. you can just go back to the "save state" for 5 minutes ago. |

How about a feature where you have to turn off the emulator because your mum needs the TV to watch Coronation Street?

Well here is an idea.. Howabout implementing a fake sort of interlace mode where the screen would flicker like it would if you set a 1084S or tv to interlace...

Some way of having multiple MIDI outs from Bars&Pipes (reading the serial port data that is meant for the Triple Play Plus, for example, or hacking in something that could be used by a custom B&P tool) would actually enable me to do music properly inside WinUAE instead of using my real Amiga. That would be a very, very, very good thing.

How about better floppy drive noise emulation, so we can run FloppyMusic, Gadaffi, etc.?

Intelligent kids did not turn off their Amiga but explained their parents, why it was okay to leave it running and then, after the TV show was over, re-occupied the most prominent place in front of the TV, continuing, wherey they left it behind

- Leaking RTC Battery emulation
- Broken Scart Connector emulation (with an option to fiddle the connector to get that missing color/audio channel back) - Lost CDTV/A570 CD-Caddy emulation Last edited by smoorke; 17 October 2007 at 00:29. |

Or what about a button:
"Create random soldering-accident on PCB" ? Of course, the outcome of this accident would need to be emulated with 100% accuracy. |

@amix Your pointless idea has many pointless variables that can go wrong.
Toni might just implement it, he likes such pointless ideas seemingly. |

Glad you find it pointless. That's my favourite POV.
