Amateur requires help with LHA files.....
Am an amateur when it comes to winuae. I know how to load floppy image files (ADF) but have come across a game I never knew existed which is now shareware, Testament 2 (sequel to Testament which I spent hours playing on my A1200) The game is in LHA format and I haven't got a clue how to run it on winuae. Can anyone give a complete amateur a walkthrough?
I've also got some CD games that I'd love to play (Zombie Masacre) but I think I have to create a virtual hard drive. How do I do this? Thanks in advance... |

LHA files are pretty much like ZIP files (I hope you at least know how to handle LHA's from within Workbench) and WinUAE has the ability to mount them as floppy disk images and hardfiles, which you can create this way: "Hard drives" > "Add Hardfile" > "New hard disk image file" (specify size in MB's) > Create > "Save" (specify name) > "Ok" . You may also put all your lha's in a folder and mount said folder ("Add directory or archive") and it wouldn't hurt to have WinRAR installed in case you want to see what's inside the LHA's beforehand. The possibilities are endless...

You can also use WinRar on the PC to view/extract the LHA files.
To use LHA in WinUae you will need lha in the C dir. To use open a shell window and type lha for a list of commands. |

Easiest way is to drag and drop files and archives to winuae window when WB has been loaded
|
