Demand for db23 female solder cup connectors?
Hi all,
I may be able to get a batch of db23 female solder cup connectors of good quality (not made in china) + Hoods. Just want to hear your opinion of what you think the demand is out there world wide? Not planning on making a lot on these but rather just a bit above break even to cover somewhat for work on handling orders selling them say on Amibay/eBay or Amazon. Would be doing it mostly for the Amiga community since these d-subs seem so hard to come by these days. Please vote in the poll so I can get a hum of the demand

I've exhausted all 3 different suppliers I've used in the past. They are not getting or making any more, so would be great to have a new supply in the chain!

Just a quick follow up.
I've contacted a key account manager with agency for FCT (Germany) in Sweden and he gave me the impression that a batch could be ordered. Turned out it wasn't that easy so that is probably a dead end. I've also contacted Encitech and they are currently looking into if they have any partners in China/Taiwan that can manufacture a batch. He said he will come back to me. It's been holiday/national day in China last week so nothing so far. I've also contacted a number of China manufacturers myself through AliBaba and got one positive answer that they can produce a minimum of 2000 units, price is EXW USD 1.52/pcs for qty 2K. But that would probably require new molds for injection molding to be made, not sure, I'll have to verify, probably not worth it then. That would probably mean to have to go through something like this: https://www.bigmessowires.com/2016/0...ete-connector/ |
