Q Drive 2141
I have one of the aboce cd rom drives but dont have a psu does anyone know what voltage they use 5 or 12.

Depends on what drive the device uses: if just a laptop-sized CD then only +5V will suffice.
Common/5.25" full-sized units uses 12 & +5V. |

Sorry its a full size cd rom drive not laptop so then this would probibly require 12v?

12 & 5V. The +5V can be sorted internally by a simple voltage regulator, if the unit does not have a dual power input.
So you must check buzzing the CD power connector to the motherboard and from there to the power connector at the back of the unit. |
