Yep, I wouldn't call over 75% 'not that much' either... I'm out of here too, but please check your stats next time you make such a bold statement. I don't say it's a good thing that it is that way, but PHP is de facto the server side language still and not enabling it for a webserver is a pretty big no-go. Arguably choosing a webhost that doesn't have mod_php enabled isn't that clever either. Enough of that now and all the best that Amibay finds a better host for their needs.

Amen to that! Lets not derail the thread with hyperbole.

Looks like they are moving to new hosting. Might as well us this downtime to do that. Keep up the good work amibay admins!

I have tomorrow off! A 3 day weekend. Gonna have some fun with my Amigas. I just got a CD32 with some games. I have never played with one before. Pretty excited.

Cool! Congratulations! When are you opening the doors, or are we waiting on a DNS change?

OK, www.amibay.com/index.php should get you back in. www.amibay.com is still not working 100% but I think that's down to a DNS routing update that needs to refresh on your local ISP server caches.

Well done to all involved. This sounds like a real pain that you all could have done without! Take a break from it, breathe, have a pint

I would, but I'm tee-total... I don't drink and haven't done so for over 12 years now...

Coffee? Now that's a different story....

Uh oh, was on Amibay earlier, but when I returned just now, I got this error

"Unable to add cookies, header already sent.
File: /homepages/1/d277227762/htdocs/amibay/forum/index.php(1) : eval()'d code

Get the same here if I type in amibay.com/index.php. However, if I just go to amibay.com Avast throws a wobbly and say's malicious url. It looks like Amibay's been hacked again already!!!

Dag nammit! 1&1 write-enabled the site index.php file and we got hit by that ******* exploit again.

I've sorted the index.php file out now and write-protected it, so it should be OK now.

I'll find the hidden exploit file later when I get home. If you can disable Java in your browsers, it would help as this stops the iFrame.JX payload of the exploit from running.

No, it doesn't "help", it makes you come across as a pedant and a troll. You are technically correct in many regards, all of which are irrelevant.

We've been running a PHP-based web service for a few years. Our hosting provider changed the underlying distro, broke (disabled) PHP in the process, then proceeded to tell us that our last three years of service had only been possible because of a "bug". These people are idiots.

Anyways, I shan't get bogged down in this. Amibay is back and we're currently assessing our future options. It's likely we'll transition to a new hosting provider and probably take the opportunity to upgrade to vBulletin 4 whilst we're at it.

I'd also like to express my thanks to the EAB staff for allowing our 'refugee' members a space to come together and for us to keep them informed. It's appreciated guys!

Anyway, as Amibay is now back up and running, I think this thread has probably served its purpose, so perhaps a passing member of the lovely EAB staff would like to close it for us?
