Amiga WHDLoad Games August Update 2005
Sorry about the delay folks, I'm still not 100% up-to-date with what I wanna do with the site as you'll see it's not actually changed at all!
A few changes though... (as specified on the site) Zip Archives Each individual game is now stored in a zip archive rather than the previous use of lzx archives. This is for a few reasons, the main one being that it makes it a hell of a lot easier to check the contents of the archives and test them with ease. Naming Restructure With a move to zip I also thought it would be a good time to change the naming scheme. I just wasn't happy with the previous way! Games are now named with the following structure: GameName_WHDVersion_GameVersion_SPSNumber Example: AlienBreed2_v1.3_AGA_0044.zip Tooltype Additions Every game now has all of it's tooltypes already setup in the icon for you, both PRELOAD and BUTTONWAIT are enabled by default for every game that has them. Also, every game with a CUSTOM tooltype also has it included in the icon's properties, although they are commented out so that they do not run unless you activate them. Underneath each CUSTOM command is a small explanation as to what each one does to make it easier for you to decide to enable them or not. Anyways.... Enough! http://www.deadwoodinc.net/killergorilla/ Contents are: August Games Pack Belial_v1.0.zip BodyBlows_v1.2_1147.zip BodyBlows_v1.2_AGA_1322.zip CannonFodder2_v1.9_0104.zip CannonFodder2_v1.9_De_0104.zip Flink_v2.1_CD32.zip Gremlins2_v1.2_0498.zip ItCameFromTheDesert_v1.0_0014.zip ParasolStars_v1.4a_0139.zip RocketRanger_v1.4_1641.zip RocketRanger_v1.4_Censored_1533.zip Slackskin&Flint_v1.0.zip Supercars2_v1.0_0224.zip Superfrog_v1.2_0035.zip Superfrog_v1.2_CD32.zip Syndicate_v2.2_0739.zip Syndicate_v2.2_De_0405.zip Wall,The_v1.0.zip Zeewolf2_v5.00_0608.zip Zeewolf_v5.02_0414.zip |

Good job as usual young man
Just a suggestion.. why not create a 2nd icon with trainer options enabled? this would make it much simpler for newbies and those without a lot of amiga os experience |

Thanks for your thankseses people!
Just a few omissions from the pack: Syndicate CD32 - I've contacted the author as the game produced errors when loading. Marvins Marvellous Adventure CD32/AGA - I've been in contact with the author and he's managed to sort a few problems out so a newer slave should be released soon. Apano Sin - This game is only from the year 2000 so I decided not to include it in the pack as I've seen it still sold on a few sites. other than that, they're all there |

KG, might be a silly question but.... "Are you gonna be re-doing all the packs etc in zip format???"

The answer to that is...
yes... I've already started, I'm not promising a date or anything but I'm slowly wading through the lot |

2ndly - I appreciate the move to zip. My Miggy is well and truly dead now... When you do finally re-release the old packs (if you do) can I suggest making a dat (with clrmamepro or similar) as most people could just rebuild the new one from the lzx packs... |

That's gonna be a problem...
I'm not simply unlzxing.. then rezipping... I'm reinstalling the games myself to ensure the packs are 100% from now on. Most of the new zip ones will be installed from caps images, whereas the lzx are ones from whdload xmas cds, random whdload sites etc etc.. therefore the crcs of the datafiles are going to be different, and as I'm editing the icons tooltypes, and I very much doubt the icons are going to be in the same place... the icon crcs are gonna be different too... There will be dats made once they've all gone to zip but having any of them match the old lzx files is gonna be fluke more than anything. |

All of Killers installs are being put onto HDFs by myself for a project and will be re-released
I don't expect ppl to re-download these, but I will be making a dat when there are enuff games supported |
