GoldenGate 486slc
Hi,
I bought this card and during the first start I get following error message "Fatal error: Signal IOCHCK on the ISA-bus is shorted to GND". After reset there is no more such error message. Card is working flawlessly. Does anyone know what this error means? Thank you. |

I'd like to know the answer to this too! I don't get this message with a Trident VGA card installed, but when I add an ATI Mach64 this message displays. Anyone know what it could mean?

Maybe the ATI card is simply not compatible.
Would be interesting to do a continuity check between IOCHCK and ground with the two cards, to see if the ATI is actually grounding that pin. |

It doesn’t appear to affect operations though, everything seems to work as normal.

I'd still suggest checking it out. If it's giving that message erroneously, the driver could be patched.
