damn you, that's very cool but it's two hours long and I'm gonna have to watch it all now.

I wonder what program that is, a custom job for the synth or some kinda programmable MIDI controller + midi-CV convertor. Anyone recognise it?

perhaps its from this company

Midi Quest was first released in 1989 for DOS, the AMIGA, and ATARI ST platforms and is the oldest actively supported software dedicated to getting the most from your MIDI hardware. And, Midi Quest was based on a previous 5 years experience creating software to support specific instruments such as the DX7, DX7II, D-50, M1, K1, and many others. And before that? Well, before that there was no MIDI.

Yep at 22 min he says it is D-50 Master by Soundquest. As you say, an intrument specific predecessor to midi quest. Midiquest still available as a program that makes your real synths appear in your DAW as if they were a plug in.

Looks fun, might look up an amiga version of midi quest.
