Shadow of the Beast 2 game over tune - taken from Miami Vice?
I was told the Beast 2 game over music is taken from some Miami Vice stuff.. does anyone here know if this is true?
Maybe this is something everyone already knows except me? EDIT - I found a Youtube clip from that Miami Vice episode (or movie or whatever it is, I have no idea), and it does indeed sound like the SOTB2 game over music. I created a little clip to show it (the volume in the clip I found was extremely low so I fixed that (it's on my junk account)) - [ Show youtube player ] Last edited by laffer; 02 January 2009 at 01:57. |

Yup, it really sounds like they 'borrowed' the guitar from Miami Vice.
Don't worry laffer, I didn't know it before either |

Unfortunately, I have no idea. I just found that Miami Vice clip on Youtube, fixed the volume and put it in a comparison video.

I have the Miami Vice score (2-CD complete collection), but i don't know if it contains this special sequence. Check it later.
http://www.soundtrackcollector.com/c...p?movieid=2141 Edit: Looks like Tim Truman made this score for the episode #91:Hostile Takeover. So i assume this cue of score is not available. Some idiots downloaded 15 tracks from his myspace site and offered the links on mv.org. But maybe he release a score CD later, who knows. http://www.miami-vice.org/forum/foru...253&PID=255449 http://www.miami-vice.org/forum/foru....asp?TID=13220 Last edited by Retro-Nerd; 01 January 2009 at 19:00. |

Just to make 100% sure, I downloaded the episode and checked and yup, it's like in my video.
If anyone wants to see the episode, it's Season 5 Episode 1. |

Here is an old one - the tune "Sorgens Kammer" by Dimmu Borgir is stolen from the Agony intro tune -

Fortunatelly, the intro music from Agony sounds MUCH MUCH better than crappy Dimmu Borgir attempt

Erm, the A1000 also showed up a lot in 'trendy' offices when doing busts and the like... A criminal had an Amiga 2000 in one episode too with the OCS chipset (red powerlight)... Remember folks, anything that was in MV is 'cool' Jan Hammer was ditched in Season 4 and 5 completely I think... dunno why, his music was synth heaven... |
