Kickstart Rom files (not looking for)

Hi,
I have a couple of kickstart 'ROM' files and do not know how to convert them so as to use within WinUAE, as it doesn't recognise them.
Some WHDLoad files also request that I place and rename a 1.3kick within my Libs drawer, but the Rom file doesn't work here either. eg Alien Fish Finger on a real A1200, although this is probably a different problem.
Can these be converted to another format?

I have no problems, but mostly i run A1200/A4000 games on Whdload so mostly I get asked for.... kick40068.A1200 or kick40068.A4000

Luckily, once they are installed you do not get asked again.

Some games do not require Kickstart roms in Devs:Kickstart.
I just guess it depends on the game you are playing.

Thanks for the response, but WHDload really isn't the problem at present.

This is a screenprint of my Rom folder.
As you can see, it has many different ROM file formats within, but only the DMS files are recognised by WinUAE (and one ADF).
Can these be converted, allowing them to be recognised?
I hope this paints a clearer picture.
Thankyou.

PS. Strange, but when I actually 'ADF'd to disk' with one of my 1.3kick roms it unpacked to present me with, from what I can remember was Amercian Lambourgini Challenge!

The Kickstart roms don't have different formats, all should have the ending .rom. For WHDLoad you need the "kickstarts" folder in DEVS with the RTB, PAT AND the correct renamend Kickstart Roms. Looks like this:

Kick34005.A500
kick34005.A500.PAT
kick34005.A500.RTB
Kick40068.A1200
Kick40068.A4000
kick40068.A1200.PAT
kick40068.A1200.RTB
kick40068.A4000.PAT
kick40068.A4000.RTB

Here is skick with the RTB & PAT files. Of course there are no kickstart roms inside.
Attached Files
File Type: lha skick345.lha (91.3 KB, 359 views)

Looks like some of your dms files are wrongly labeled as roms but are actually games...

Thanks for the info Retro-Nerd. I will look into this furher.

Adderly - Strange is true, but this game image actually runs/kicks into kick1.3!
I also have a kick1.3 image that turned out to be a degrader utility.
The file must be built in somewhere?

Many thanks
