What volume name did you give DH1: and is this name also a directory name in that partition?

Many thanks to AMIGASYSTEM for reporting these two issues.

* Fixed issue of DH1 volume name is of an existing directory or file that is not a slave file.
* Fixed Game Launcher mode not working.

Hey is it possible to get game saves to store over on a different drive, like the AmiBerry WHDLauncher? This directs all disk writing to DH2 which is mapped to a folder so you get a neat folder with a subfolder for each game, containing all the save data?

Yes - so, as daxb highlighted, you can use the SavePath option. Either set it in the DH0:S/WHDLoad.prefs file or as a tool type in the game .info icon.

WHDLoad Game Launcher v0.7-beta now released:

With the following changes/improvements:
  • WHDLoad splash screen is now enabled by default
    - Can be disabled in S:WHDLoad.prefs
  • kgiconload is now used as the default launcher.
    - This skips the ToolTypes discovery processing in the startup script, which may improve launch times.
    - Can be disabled in S:/Startup-Sequence
  • A minimal Workbench is now loaded after a game has ended (i.e. by using the quit key).
    - Multiview is launched so that a readme, guide, solution, etc document can be selected and read.
    - or by double-clicking a document icon within Workbench.
    - JoyMouse is enabled to allow mouse control using joystick.
  • game.slave file detection.
    - In kgiconload mode, user cannot launch game - as the game .info file is not known (or cannot be determined)
    - If kgiconload is disabled, then the user has option to skip and launch the game.slave file, but this will be without WHDLoad options - as the game .info file is not known (or cannot be determined)
    - The loaded Workbench can then be used to rename the game.slave file.

With the following updates/improvements:
  • Added support for .zip and .lha files mounted on DH1:
    - Volume name for DH1: must be <GameDirName>.lha or <GameDirName>.zip, where <GameDirName> is the sub directory in the .lha/.zip
    - for these file types DH1: becomes READONLY
  • SavePath WHDLoad option support added for when DH1: is READONLY
    - DH0:WHDSaves is the path used for SavePath
  • kgiconload is now disabled by default
    - Since you cannot specify an additional WHDLoad parameter to enable the SavePath option.
    - Need a way to change/update the global WHDLoad.cfg on the fly.
