Bad luck

But "the master" is the final level, right?

Really? Never checked this. Fact is: This version crashes in WHDLoad without the aminet patch, at least for me.

That's strange, this T-Zer0 version is indeed v1.1, but it crashes without the 1.1 patch. Maybe an Installer script bug?

I installed it without any problems from the CD just fine.
So it crashes when you try to install it.
The SPS images didn't work for me with the 1.1 patch.
Tricky one this is.

Ah so if I add the 1.1 patch for the CD version it works ?

Nope, it crashed in level 3 (without having the patch in the main folder of the install) as i said in post #1. Never tried to install SPS disk version. Will try it now, i'm bored enough today.

Edit: I have no luck in installing the SPS images. WinUAE causes a guru everytime (CWB & OS3.9) at the beginning of the lha uncompressing.

Have you tried the TOSEC images? I've wasted too much time with this boring game.

CFOU gave me some interesting answers.

CP install with the SPS disk images, and this solution works here.

Quote:
Try using Lha & lha.key included in CP's disk version (in disk 1 i think)

with some lha version (as with original) game cashes decrunching lha archive !!

When i had received original retail version of the game (longtime ago ).
There had a last minute short notice included in CP's package.
This notice indicated that you must use included lha.key to install game.
And indeed, if i used another version original install script crashed decrunching lha big file on one of the last disk...
CP install with the T-Zer0 bonus version. This explains why i have to use the v1.1 patch for the v1.1 CD version.

Quote:
It's perhaps because some files which are renamed by my install script (for parent lock and language selection) but only if V1.1 is Installed

But it's sure. you CAN'T install by hand the game. You must use whdload's install script.

Ps:
original install script removed some files used by whdload's version

The SPS disk image version? No more crashes during the installation process, works fine here. But i don't play this version again. Make your own tests.

Nah, I was just curious.
I'm not wasting anymore time on this pile of junk.
Oh btw, I got T-zer0 working perfectly with the cracked v1.1 update.
