everyone is using gentoo here it seems
 for what's it worth: winuae 1.4.2a works fine here on the rather old wine 0.9.39 output of wine is: http://rafb.net/p/rLbM3v17.html it seems to use d3d to get some information about texturememory. additional directdraw seems to be used. i'm no expert in wine, but maybe some controls of winuae uses directx... i will try a newer wine and see if it is broken/works. i'll post an update tomorrow. btw: wine useflags: (X alsa cups dbus -esd hal -jack jpeg -lcms -ldap -nas ncurses opengl oss -scanner xml) i got 4 native dlls in wine(quartz for dshow, and 3 others browser related components) |

i ran some tests that weren't really fruitful :-(
- wine 0.9.39 + winuae 1.4.2a -> OK - wine 0.9.39 + winuae 1.4.6 -> OK - wine 0.9.55 + winuae 1.4.2a -> OK - wine 0.9.55 + winuae 1.4.6 -> OK sorry i really wouldn't know why yours doesn't run. perhaps running WINEDEBUG=+all wine winuae.exe might shed some light on it |

Thanks for testing, my use flags are:
X alsa cups dbus gecko hal jpeg ncurses opengl samba xml -esd -jack -lcms -ldap -nas -oss -scanner I'll do some more tests later. |
