REQ: Defender of the Crown 2 ISO (CD32 or CDTV)
Hello,
I have been looking for days for this ISO. I cannot find it anywhere. Does anyone know where it might be obtained? Thanks! |

Hey up! Thought I'd give it a try....
Just downloaded Defender of the Crown 2 from http://www.amigames.de/gamescd32_2.php3 (they have 63 games there in total for download!) Works fine in WinUAE CD32 emulation. Full music and speech too. Last edited by quahappy; 10 July 2006 at 23:48. |

In some action scenes you couldn't control the characters properly and audio and video lost synchronization. If the worse came to the worst, it would just crash. That wasn't my only concern. I think I read somewhere that CD32 DotC was written with The Director... a very competent soft for multimedia presentations, but not precisely designed with strategy games in mind ^_^'' . Many tactical options from the original game were removed and conquering the whole territory was embarrasingly easy... and when you are almost done... it crashes (ayyyy!!). Worst of all, in my case it crashed the very same night I conquered the rescued lady heart (oouuch!!) That said... the AGA images are so beautifully and superbly rendered, the soundtrack is so great and the extra animations look so nice that it's all worth the hassle. I definitively recommend the experience, above all if you're using the real CD32 machine, in wich case all these troubles are not supposed to happen at all! |

Damn.... just one of those stubborn games! Given how old this game is, we can only hope that "someone" will find a patch/fix. Quote from HOL Defender of the Crown 2 entry: Quote:

Anyone know of any other sites to obtain CD32 ISO's from as AmiGames download links are down.
I'm after Simon the Sorcerer 2. btw.... just tried Defender of the Crown 2 in the latest WinUAE 1.3.0. Problems still persist |

Thanks guys for the links!
It is a shame AmiGames links are down at the moment. I have ScummVM too but can't trace StS2 anywhere for it now. |

I originally grabbed Simon the Sorceror 2 from www.amigagames.de quite some time ago.
I can upload it to a file hosting website and post the link. It's about 75MB WinRAR'd Mods, before I do this though can you let me know if this is ok? Not too sure if you can still purchase the game for Amiga |

Hmmm, since my post long ago I think we came to the conclusion that it's still sold, search EAB for other "Simon 2" threads... As I'm too lazy at the moment, if it can be proven that it's not still sold anywhere I'll upload it

Ahh ok I understand. I thought it was available for CD32 but I notice it is 68030 and 16mb on the Tosec link comments.
I think I have the last Tosec issued but it's not in that one so maybe next time around if it is included I will have a look. Thanks for the response though |
