whdload bug reports
hi there...
i just submitted 2 whdload bug reports for king of chicago (illegal instruction when bombing the barber shop for the second time...- i use the version from cinemaware vault) and explora (french's chrono quest - illegal instruction when using the trashcan icon)...if you own one of these 2 installs with the latest WHD slaves available, can you check it out please ? (YES KG I WAS THINKING ABOUT YOU!) thanks! |

You're gonna have to give me some advice as to how to do the things you've done in your first post, I've never played either before so have no idea which barber shop you are talking about, or where the trashcan icon is

Isn't easier for you to upload both games to the zone and have him check if games work?

you can zone your versions to me! but if you want to give it a try:
for king of chicago, it's almost all about dialogs : -you first choose to head for action to show the guys what you're capable of and it ends as a barber shop bombing...first time you try to shoot the shop, you miss the goal and second time should give you the exception error. - for explora, just after the intro, in the first castle room, dry the "drop to the trash icon" and click anywhere on the screen...this should give you the exception also. thx. |

The Cinemaware "Vault" versions are nothing but cracks in most cases.
So you can't give a general rule like "dl'ed from CW = working" |

I wonder why SPS don't give Cinemaware their files in original format (although I believe they have offered)? If you have access to the .IPF files you should use these instead... |

I'm not IFW, but I *reckon* it was because the CW guys did not react and thus SPS gave up offering their images. But I may be horribly wrong too ...

I think you are correct andreas
The exact question was asked in another thread, Sinbad and the Throne of the Falcon if my memory serves me correctly Edit: found it, here's Faith's response to SPS contacting Cinemaware and having .IPF files on their site... http://eab.abime.net/showpost.php?p=239685&postcount=11 Last edited by DamienD; 29 October 2006 at 23:45. |

Well you are right about King Of Chicago... it gives an illegal instruction error. I've tried it with various data files all with no luck! Now trying the next one...
