Another gadget from the toy industry. Not my cup of tea. But this version looks much better, with 2 real 9-pin ports.

That's the same company behind this one "Arcade Retro Gaming"

The MCC-216 is the next model up

Maybe it's ok for showing some Amiga games to some non-Amiga gamer. Competition Pro may be better option as this cheap PSX joypad is slightly out of place. I'm not sure if this game compilation is legal.

That makes me wonder - they're FPGA based, so they must be using the Minimig core.

Have they licensed it, or at least sent a "gift" to the original developers?
Otherwise that's just "creating" a product by ripping off someone else's hard work

I have the MCC-216 and it's great little device with lots of potential.
The MCCTV looks like stripped down version of MCC-216.

The Amiga core is the least evolved core for the machine, I would say 50-60% of games work on it. The major problem I have encountered is the WB compatibility, the unit will just freeze when you try to lunch WB application, sometime even opening folders would do that too.
I wished someone more knowledgeable could improve the core.

Some other cores that work well are the Atari 800 and ZX Spectrum which were developed by hobbyists not MCC developers.

You can grab the Atari 800 core from here http://www.scrameta.net/ which works on MCCTV and MCC-216, also MiST and DE boards. The core on MCC website is an old one.

The big problem is that the FPGA (EP3C16) is too small to hold the more up-to-date Minimig cores found on other platforms.

What's the video out connection on this?

Can you use any other controller beside the one they give you?

What's the difference between this and mcc216?

Composite

I believe so as long as it looks the same as this one, same button areas

What's the difference between this and mcc216?

The mcc-216 is the better system, it supports more platforms and a larger range of attachable devices

The MCC emulates in real hardware the classic computer. This is the only system which has the real time behavior of the original. All other software based emulations cannot guarantee an exact representation of the original computer.

What exactly is it emulating?

Does it run exactly like a gotek on a real amiga?

Limited to non aga games only or can it aga?

This was developed by a guy who used to be a regular here called FrenchShark

It is a FPGA not a software emulator.

Just wondering if you can send me the folder containing all of the files for the SD card for this because I didn't make a back-up. Regards, Mark I'm in the UK so it'll be PAL and it's for the MCC-TV, but I didn't get a reply to my second e-mail from the developer making it redundant.
