Wing Commander AGA on adf files
I found a Version of Wing Commander in my tosec v0.29:
Wing Commander CD32 (1993)(Origin)(AGA)(De-En)(Disk 1 of 6)[edit startup-sequence].adf Does anybody know how to get this thing working ? I played around with the startup-sequence but with no success. I hope someone can help me, because it would be very exciting to play the game once more with much better graphics. |

I think I've played around with it years ago but never could make it work either. You're better off playing the proper CD³² version of the game.

Hey Coldsteel, welcome to the EAB!
Check out this patch: http://aminet.net/search?query=wcpatch It works like a charm. |

However, as was said - you are better off using the CD32 version(which looks much nicer) and this patch. |

There is no AGA floppy version. The patch should work with the CD32 floppy disk rip.

I'm sure you are right - I think I'm just remembering the reviews saying the game became really playable on an A1200, but actually it didn't (IMHO). The CD32 version with the patch was great though. |

Thank you for the answers.
I think I will try the CD32 version in WinUAE, because it seems to be very complicated to get the disk version work. The normal ECS version ran very nice on my real A1200 in 1994 and this time I will finish the game completely on WinUAE |

Thanks for the Upload
I successfully patched the game today by myself, but your HD Version will go directly into my Amiga Games Collection |

So is this the full game and not just the patch?
I can see a 'WingCommander CD32 HD.zip' in the Zone at the moment, but is that just the patch at 3535 k? I have the CD32 Patch and the CD32 ISO lying around someplace but it's a pain to put them together. It's a shame they never did WingCommander 2 for CD32, that game actually used a CDROM originally (for the PC). [EDIT: Direct link to the Zone removed as it's against board rules - Graham] Last edited by Graham Humphrey; 25 November 2009 at 23:26. |
