No, I'm fairly certain that I'm the one that should be ashamed I had disabled the new find_nname_case function (which also now finds the used unicode normalization in addition to case) while testing some stuff, and released 1.0.1rc1 without enabling it again

Ok Frode now working.
The only problem is the lag (vsync?) on emulation.

Exactly the problem i was talking about : http://eab.abime.net/showpost.php?p=...&postcount=448

mouse pointer/windows etc are not smooth .. but emulation speed tested under sysinfo is correct :

Hi, it took me a while to realize that you were probably using an interlaced workbench mode, which I have not been testing at all. I discovered that a performance optimization I did was not compatible with interlaced modes.

Woke up early today, and made an unprecedented early (in the morning) FS-UAE release -Could you try this version?:

Hello Frode,

One more question regarding (AGA) screen modes:

I tried to set up screen modes like DBLPAL:HighRes no Flicker with a resolution of 720x550px and experimented with overscan.
Seems like fs-uae is not yet capable of autoscaling those screens - part of the amiga screen (bottom and right) was invisible...

I know that this is of minor importance for gaming, but maybe you might have a look on it...

Thanks and best regards,
Peter

Permanent Fire as Input Action

Hi,
first big thanks for your great work with FS-UAE. It's working perfectly.

What I really missed in games like Apidya is a permanent fire as joystick input action. I mean, just pressing a key and then it fires all the time, not just one time.

Is it possible to add this or did I just miss this option somewhere ?

Hi,

I launch floppy adf images from a linux shell with the command:
fs-uae --floppy_drive_0=/path/to/game.adf

Question:
How do i specify a path with blanks here?
In the config file, i just leave the blanks in without escaping or quoting.
But how do i do that from a command line? Escaping or enclosing in double quotes doesn't work here.

Cheers

Sebbi

Hi! I might have a look at it. In the meantime, you can use the viewport setting to manually correct the view!

It's on the todo-list!

The following works:
Code:
fs-uae --floppy_drive_0="/path/to/floppy image with spaces.adf"
or just
Code:
fs-uae --floppy_drive_0="floppy image with spaces.adf"
if the floppy can be found on the floppy search path.

Hey guys,

Anyone to explain config option "amiga_type = SUPER"?

It's not documented - afaik - but sets up an extremely powerful 040/40, resulting in a feeling comparable to my former A4k/060
Have WB3.1 and AdPro runnining, it's amazing...

Best regards,
Peter

Frode, now that 1.0 is out, can you maybe now be convinced to publish your development repository?

That would make contributing quite a bit easier as well as investigating problems on our own less of a hassle (git bisect anyone?).

We could give you proper patches as well which will apply cleanly and, thus, enable you to work on code instead of patches that need rebasing.

What do you think?

Hi, you're correct that it's not documented. I don't want to fully support it until I have tested it more. But it basically configures an expanded Amiga 4000-like computer and runs the CPU emulation as fast as possible, so the speed of the emulated CPU depends on the host computer -The new development series improves on this! (btw; did you investigate the picture I posted in your hardware thread?)

If I were in your shoes, I would want this too , but I have to balance it against the convenience of being able to "freely abuse git" / commit work in progress (etc) without thinking about other users. But nothing stops people from sending me patches against the latest source files (I have never got any patches, btw ). Also, you can just have your own git repositories where you copy over the source from each new release (and commiting) to get a nice commit / diff for each new release.

This is not a definitive no, but I don't want to restructure things now.

I still think the development is quite open / transparent though, since I normally post development versions (with source) *very* often, update change log entries, and generally responds quickly to questions. I will also (probably) answer questions regarding the code if anyone wants to hack it.

Yes, the net play feature only requires that clients connect to a server using TCP/IP -the server can be hosted anywhere (including on the LAN) provided it is reachable..

Hi Frode!

Is there currently a way to disable an Amiga key? (using the custom input mapping)
Thx

Hi, I don't know if this has ever been reported: I use the disk_image_x scheme for switching out disks - once that list exceeds 16 or so, disks, it becomes hard to select the disks beyond that number, because there is no scrolling, it is possible, though: I just need to count the number of my key presses. not that there are that many programs requiring that many disks though
