Predator
Hateful game, saw lots of playthroughs that moaned the Amiga version didn't have an actual end game sequence............ after nearly 30 years I can confirm that it actually does!

And how do you get to that screen if many have been saying there is no end?

I also punched the shit out of the Predator which might have contributed to me getting the end sequence. Will have to look at the code and see what triggered it. |

That's right! As perhaps other non-ending games also could have one hidden way to get a final.

I just have one question: was playing this walk left-to-right simulator a voluntary act?

My Predator memories are mixed with Platoon and this is not good sign.

Always loved the original Predator film. It's top-notch 80's sci-fi/action. The second isn't as good but it's sort of nifty anyway. All the other derivatives (Alien vs Predator, Predators, etc) were, unfortunately, utter crap. Though somewhat weary, I'm looking forwards for next year's "Predator".
The games, however, were a completely different story altogether. None of them were any good (not even Predator 2, the 1st person shooter). In any platform (Amiga, Spectrum, PC, whatever). No surprise, then, that I never played the original Predator game to the end, so I never knew that there was no end game sequence (or that there is, actually). Much like s2325, I also think that the original Predator game and the original Platoon game had too much in common (were utter crap) and resonated quite the same way. Interestingly, I have the Platoon movie also in high regard. Alas... Amiga Movie licenses. Safe for a very few exceptions, we all know what we had to endure. Aliens on arcade, by Konami, is rather good IMO.
And saying that, Alien vs Predator on arcades by Capcom is freaking awesome. |

Very true. And Predator 2 on the Mega Drive is probably the best port of the movie. Not a really great but a fun Alien Syndrome/Rambo III (MD) clone, or something close.

So that'll be the aftermath of the Predator detonating! I love this kind of long lost trivia, thanks.
The Amiga version is still missing the bit where Arnie drops the tree trunk counterweight on him as in the 8-bit versions then? |
