CD32+Sx32 ->How to boot with CD32 mode
Hi
I've just set up my CD32+Sx32+HD with OS 3.9 and it works really great But i'm not able to boot from CD32 games I think it's surely because of the ROM Update in the BoingBags i've installed When i hold the two mouse button to see boot screen, i just see that i'm able to boot from DF0: or DH0: So if i want to play CD32 games, i have to unplug the SX32....... Is there some tricks to put in the startup or anything else to be able to play CD games without unplugging the SX32??? Thanks |

Ok
After some tests, i've seen that if i disable DH0: & DF0: on the boot screen, the CD32 is able to boot from CD, but it's not really the easiest way.......... Perhaps modifiyng the startup on DH0: is better. |

Inserting these lines in the beginning of the startup do the trick but there is an annoying message when no cd is inserted : "No disc in CD0:"
If CD0:s/startup-sequence EXISTS Movesys CD0: Execute CD0:S/startup-sequence Skip END ........... LAB END Endcli >Nil: Any better suggestions?????? |

I run 3.1 on my SX32 Pro and I can still boot CD games fine. If it's not the ROM patch - maybe the boot priority of your HD is too high?

Besides, even if the HD is higher than the CD drive, the original poster could still just select CD0 as the boot device from the early startup without having to disable everything else. |

If you boot to WB, does CD0: appear automatically or do you have to mount it separately? |

It's there all by itself. If you 'boot with no startup' CD0: is a valid device at the CLI.

Ok.. Sounds like an OS-illegal hack, but hey, it's Commodore..
