Some curiosities (for Amiga nerds ONLY)
This thread is dedicated to odd things found in Amiga.
For instance (this one is for the nerds like me), In Spaceballs State of the art Demo there´s a small part where we seem to be inside a cube like structure, everyone knows this, but do you know that if you use anaglyph glasses the blue red ones from kids cereal boxes you can really see 3d popping out of you monitor. Here is how! red left eye; blue right eye |

Nothing too big, but in the demo DOS by Andromeda you see a plain AmigaDos screen and nothing seems to happen at all. Then the music starts to play and on the screen appears the Andromeda writing
A really great effect! When watched it for the first time I was really surprised by the effect |

Odd things?
I was slightly taken aback when using diskdoctor for the first time and finding that my disk had been renamed 'Lazarus' I did post a question about this on the ChristianAmigaBored.org about this but didn't receive a response. |

In the Christian Bible, Lazarus was raised from the dead:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lazarus I'm sure you can see the relevance. Rodney |

As pathetic as I think modern 3D TV is today I am still wondering why red/blue-glasses 3D games where not bigger on the Amiga?

Red/blue anaglyph effects should by easy to do on the Amiga in a basic sense, anyway - devote one bitplane to left eye and one bitplane to right eye, then assign the appropriate palette. No mucking about with calculating which pixels should overlap between eyes. That just covers monochrome 3D imagery, but one would just require double the normal number of bitplanes for additional colors. AGA should be able to do a sort of "16-shade" anaglyph.

In Forms In Flight for Amiga you can make 3D objects and turn on "stereo view" option to see with anaglyph glasses:
ADF is on EAB server ~Public_User_Uploads/Sea7/Tosec UNK/ Disk is not bootable (no boot sequence) so you need to use WorkBench. |
