Hardware idea - how feasible?

Just wanted to bounce this idea off people... I'm sure it's possible, but not sure how much cost & effort is involved...

I was thinking, with all the joystick adapters out there, wouldn't it be cool to have a USB - Amiga joystick adapter. Did a bit of searching, and there are chips available that act as a USB HID (Human Input Device, ie KB/mouse/joystick etc) host adapter. This got me thinking... why use this just for one joystick, when it could theoretically be used for 2 joysticks, a mouse, & a keyboard??? (with use of a hub, either external or built in)

So... does anyone have any input on the feasability & cost of this complete USB - Amiga HID adapter?

I take it you mean:

1x Amiga joystick port
1x Amiga mouse/joystick port (NB mouse would be hard!)
1x Amiga Keyboard port (A2000 is 5pin DIN AT style, A4000 is 6pin PS2 style - A4000 costs more but is a better implentation)

all converted to a single USB signal for use on a PC running some version of UAE?

Sounds cool!

sounds kinda like the Joyport USB! it had:

1x 9pin Amiga/Atari/Sega joystick port
1x PC joystick port
1x Playstation gamepad port
and 1x N64 gamepad port

They were made by Kernal (now sadly out of business) during the time when iMacs were first released, with USB ports (instead of the old ADB port) - I would kill for one of those!

But yeah, multi-adapters are cool, I say go for it!

Send the idea to Lan Kwei http://www.lan-kwei.com/

They seems very positive for new ideas and feedback. They manufacture their own hardware parts like USB to console converters..

No, actually the reverse...
Several USB ports, that output to the various Amiga connectors.

Yup I got you right, this is for AMIGAS and not for PC running lameulators.

I say everything is possible, and it would be cool. You could use one of those sshhhexshy Logitech Travelmate optical USB mouses
